BRISBANE SQUASH REUNION DINNER
(OLD FARTS DINNER)
A function that might interest some of you that played at the Club is a reunion of players of yester-year organised by some ex-players. In 2007 the organisers were Heather Rhead and Bob Finch and it was held at the Carina Leagues Club. It is normally held in early October. Some of the members from the Club that attended in 2007 were Bob & Suzanne Finch, Dave Prickett, Ken Fraser, Greg & Sharon Baker, Chris Whight, Paul Finch, Frank and Gail Hughes, Wendy & Dianna Burns, Len Don, Gayle Thornton, John Green & Ray Smith. Ray Kettley who normally attends this function was a late withdrawal, he was on the sick list that weekend.
It was only a late decision to chase up a few ex members to attend this function in 2007, There were a few people that were unable to attend as they were already committed on that date. In 2008 an effort to contact people will be made a bit earlier than it was in 2007 and hopefully the invitation can be added to this site in this Newsletter section. The word is out that Joe Williams will be in town in 2008 during October and he hopes to catch up with a few more of his squash mates at this function and also at Fish Lovers Restaurant.
