Profile on Wally Kwit.

Wally worked for International Harvester at Milton from 1960 to 1976. Wally met Joan at a party held at Ken Fraser's home and they married in 1971. He moved the family to Stradbroke Island in 1977 and worked for Associated Minerals there till 2001. Wally then retired and moved back to Thornlands with his wife Joan and daughter Lisa.

Wally loved his fishing and had a little tinny in which he, Joan and Lisa enjoyed catching fish and crabs. When grandson Noah was old enough Wally loved to take him out in the tinny. He had many fishing spots around Cleveland and the fridge was always full of seafood.

Wally played golf on the island with a handicap of 21 and scored a "hole in one" in 1994. When Wally & Joan moved back to Thornlands, he joined Redland Bay Golf Club.

Wally and Joan had two grandchildren Noah and Lily.

Wally sadly passed away from a massive stroke on the 25th of June 2005.
