A few of the more intelligent Boomerang club members included in this photograph. Future Club Captain, Ray Kettley, second from left, Rod Fox third from left and Ray's brother, Reg, fourth from left. In the days when the drinking age in NSW was 18 and Queensland 21 these fine young Stanthorpe men crossed the border for a session of northern debauchery. Ray looks about 15 so I really doubt that much raping and pillaging occurred but looking at the size of the jugs, a reasonable amount of drinking might have been on the agenda! This photograph is so old Ray even has hair!

A Social Function at Mandurah

The photograph below was taken at a function called City of Mandurah Celebrations and it appeared in the Mandurah Mail Newspaper on the 16th of December, 2009.

The photograph is of the Mayor of Mandurah Paddi Creevey and her brother Peter, who was a long time member of Boomerang/Gabba Squash Club. Peter is holidaying at Mandurah along with his daughter Lisa and his grandchildren and they are all staying with Paddi. I don't think Peter has ever made the Social Pages in the Courier Mail but he has made it in Perth.

Col Brandon (not the REAL Col Brandon but the Junior version) with his mother, Dot, at Clontarf on Australia Day 2010.
Mrs Brandon is 88 and pretty well all members would remember the whole Brandon family (Col Snr - a long term President, Col Jnr, Trevor and Mrs Brandon) as great contributors to the development of the Club.
