THE KING AND HIS CROWN
Frank Brand was telling a story from the past the other day about when he was playing A1 with Brian King. One night they were playing out Darra way, Frank knew Brian lived at Nundah and he at the time lived at Coopers Plains so he said to Brian why don't you come to my place from work and have dinner and it will be easier to go from there. Franks wife Marilyn said to their 4 year old son (who is now 31) that Daddy's friend Mr King would be coming for dinner and the young blokes reply was "will he be wearing his crown?"
When Brian was told this story recently he had a laugh, and said that he may not wear a crown but he drinks plenty of them most days, apparently Brian likes to drink "Crown Lager" to quench his thirst these days.
